When Sarah “Huckasanders” said that Trump had a “brief conversation” with Vladimir Putin about the Mueller report two days ago, she lied. Surprised? They spent more than an hour laughing about how they fooled millions of Americans. During the conversation the subject of interference in our 2020 election was briefly mentioned.
Speaking at the White House shortly after the call, the president said that Putin “sort of smiled” when they talked about the Mueller Report, adding that the Russian leader said “it started off as a mountain and it ended up being a mouse” because “he knew there was no collusion whatsoever.” The Mueller Report, while finding no chargeable conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, found Russia engaged in “sweeping” interference during the 2016 election.
Trump said he didn’t press Putin on meddling in the 2020 presidential election, former FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Frank Figliuzzi claimed that POTUS had given the Russian leader the “green light” to interfere again.
Once again, let me remind you that Trump and Putin have been associates since 1987, contrary to Trump’s lies during the campaign.
What is sad is the truth about this entire situation. Governments will go to any lengths to protect themselves and their future. Mueller, Republicans, and Democrats are hiding much of the truth about the 2016 election. It was confirmed that 16 members of Trump’s campaign staff met with Russian agents. Donny Junior held a meeting in Trump Tower with at least six agents. Jared Kushner met with four agents, separately, and attempted to establish a “back-channel communications link” between Trump and Putin in the Seychelles Islands. No collusion? Give me a break!
