William Barr is not doing his job. As the Attorney General his primary function is to enforce federal law. He is not allowed to be biased. Barr has protected Trump from the first day he received the Mueller report. Then he lied to congress.
House Democrats have demanded access to the Mueller report without censorship. Barr is refusing and could be charged with several crimes including obstruction of justice.
For all these reasons he must be severely punished, but there is a far more important reason that he be removed from office and spend years in a federal prison.
During Trump’s first two years in office when Republicans controlled both houses of congress, he was given complete control of two branches of government.
Our founding fathers created a “check and balance” system of government. All three branches were given separate but equal powers. A minor exception was intentionally awarded to congress. Their reasoning was based on one concern. Our founders sought a guarantee that the president could never become a king; an autocrat.
All Americans should be aware of how important the 2018 midterm election was. If Democrats had not gained control of at least one house of congress, Trump would have replaced democracy with fascism and made himself America’s first dictator.
Every day Trump whines because he cannot have his way with every vile idea which pops into his tiny brain. With Democrats in control the power which belongs to congress has been restored. It is not an exaggeration to say that on November 6, 2018 the American people saved their country.
Republicans are nothing more than hypocritical cowards. Since January 20, 2017, they have bowed to every demand from their treasonous leader. They remain willing to give away the United States of America to Putin and Trump.
For a bill to become law, it must pass in both houses. Congress can override a presidential veto, and congress can impeach a president. Impeachment requires a two-thirds vote in the House and a trial in the Senate.
Without this balance of powers America would no longer exist. Barr and Trump must not be allowed to ignore the power of congress. One of the House’s most important jobs is to protect our nation by investigating suspected crimes or misuse of power by the man or woman in the White House.
Finally, there is only one reason why Barr is refusing to present a copy of Mueller’s report which is not censored to congress; there’s a lot of damning information about Trump contained in the 480-page report. What we have been allowed to read proves that there was collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign, and the orange man attempted to obstruct justice at least 10 times. What could be worse than the crimes we know Trump has committed? Only one comes to mind; treason.
