I’m sure that those of you who read my articles are aware that I do not do this for a living. The truth is the time I spend on this blog instead of focusing on my novels and other efforts to survive economically cost me money. However, I am a 72-year-old man who loves the country which nurtured him for most of my life. I will tell the truth in the hope that the American people will take their country back from selfish and ambitious politicians.
I have read polls and opinions about Democratic candidates seeking their party’s nomination for the presidency in 2020. I not only believe, I am certain that all of them are entirely incorrect.
Here are the facts. Trump is a perfect example of why voters, myself included, will never vote for another candidate over the age of sixty. A nation whose average age is 37.8 years of age cannot expect any politician twice their age to understand what they need and want for their country. Trump’s damage is based on regressive ideas and proposals which prevent America from moving forward into the 21st century with other developed nations.
America is a backwards nation. While the European Union and other developed nations guarantee equal rights for women, offer free or inexpensive healthcare, offer free education, refuse to denounce lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transsexuals, and questioning men and women, and refuse to accept the prominence of one religion over others, the right wing seeks denial of equal treatment under the law, and punishment for men and women because they are demanding and observing their Constitutional rights.
I believe it is time for a woman to lead our nation. Men have failed America for 243 years. I also believe that the 116th congress has proven that younger men and women are desperately needed to save the nation founded by great men including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, John Adams, and Benjamin Franklin.
Polls reveal that the majority of all Americans are progressive, and believe that change is mandatory. The old, predominately white men in congress have failed our nation for centuries. Allowing these failed politicians to remain in office for decades is a huge mistake. “With great power comes great responsibility.” Sadly, in a capitalistic society great power converts to great egos who seek great economic success.
I believe that the singular positive effect of Trump’s failed and evil presidency will be a guarantee that no other man or woman who hates America will ever be allowed to become the President of the United States.
I read the polls; they are bullshit. Although I admire many accomplishments of former Vice-President, Joe Biden, he is too old and his past reveals antiquated actions and a thought process which belongs in the past. I believe that the two most important demographics, millennials and women agree with me. Bernie Sanders is a great man with ideas and beliefs which represent our nation’s future. However, his age is a detriment. His vice-presidential candidate would become crucial. Elizabeth Warren is 100 percent right about most of what would offer America an opportunity to become a great nation. Once again, her age presents a difficulty, although she will continue to contribute to America’s opportunity to once again be the leader of the free world, her ambition for the presidency should have become a reality in 2016.
Currently there is a great hypocrisy among the media and the late-night talk show comedians. They “poke fun” at the fact that 21 Democrats have declared their intention to win the 2020 nomination. They have chosen to forget that there were 17 passengers in the Republican clown car in 2016. None of them were qualified to be our nation’s president. They also deny the truth. The reason for a large number of Democratic candidates is the fact that Trump is extremely vulnerable.
The fact is that by the time of the Iowa caucus in 2020, most of the candidates will be mathematically eliminated. The few who remain will have an opportunity to convince real Americans that their platform will serve the vast majority of the American people.
Our 46th president must be a patriot who will “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution;” unlike Trump. She must represent all 320+ people of the United States. She must be a progressive who will move our nation forward. She must reject the current plutocracy created by Trump and his circle of sinners.
The revolution can be won on November 3, 2020. Join us.
