Voted for Trump? You must Live in a Terrible State

U.S. News and World Report recently evaluated the quality of life in all 50 states. Was it a coincidence that the worst states to live in are states which voted for Trump in 2016? Probably not.

Most of these states have Republican dominated legislatures and continue their wars on the working class,  minorities and women. Trump’s favored states also have large numbers of men, women, and children living in poverty.

What is very confusing is that the states who voted for the worst candidate in American history have been harmed the most by Trump’s policies. Trump’s “tax reform” forced cuts in Medicaid. Trump and Pence support anti-abortion laws recently passed and will soon be passed in Trump states. His heavily criticized tariffs have greatly harmed farmers.

The truth is that if the Electoral College did not exist, we wouldn’t be talking about Trump and his circle of sinners. Hillary Clinton would again be in the White House. Tariffs would not have been placed on imports. Mrs. Clinton would have nominated and appointed experienced and intelligent negotiators to find solutions to reduce the trade deficit. Women’s rights would have been a priority. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would be fully funded and in some situations increased. Common sense would be the norm. Trump’s decisions have been rash, ill-advised, and harmful to America’s future.

Let’s return to the original intention of our founding fathers and eliminate the Electoral College. The people should elect our president. There would be no “red” or “blue” states; there would only be the United States of America.

Call your Representatives and Senators, and vote on November 3, 2020.

Tell everyone; “The Truth Lives Here.”
