Even a man or woman who can’t balance a checkbook is now aware that Trump’s folly, also known as tariffs, were a very bad idea. They were the act of a bully who has zero ability to use diplomacy and negotiate effective trade arrangements with other nations.
America is engaged in a trade war with China and American businesses, and soon consumers, are suffering. Farmers are outraged. Morgan Stanley is warning the world that if this war is prolonged, the world’s economy will suffer.
“If talks stall, no deal is agreed upon and the U.S. imposes 25% tariffs on the remaining $300 billion of imports from China, we see the global economy heading towards recession,” Chetan Ahya, Morgan Stanley’s chief economist and global head of economics, said in a note Monday.
Trump is physically too old to be America’s president. Mentally, he is ancient. His policies are the failed ideas of 60 years past. Increased tariffs have always failed. Sadly, Trump has no understanding of economics, and has no one on his White House staff who has the competence or knowledge to offer advice regarding international relations. The only person who was involved in another poor decision was Wilbur Ross, who is barely living.
President Obama was brilliant. He faced Mitch McConnell’s “party of no” and still found great success. He restored America’s credibility in the world and saved our nation from another great depression. Today we have Trump.
Trump is the poster boy for two necessities in 2020. First, voters must take an IQ test before being allowed to vote. Second, America must never have another president over the age of sixty. Trump is nearly 73 years old and should be on a golf course all of the time, and not in the White House. Wait; that’s what he’s doing now!
Seriously, the United States needs change. Old, white men are the reason our government is dysfunctional. 2020 is the year we must elect a woman president. She must be under the age of 60, and a progressive.
America has moved too far to the right. People must become the focus of our government and not profits for big corporations.
I believe that Kamala Harris is the answer. She is intelligent, courageous, and her policies are progressive and would benefit all Americans, not just the one percent.
Please plan to vote on November 3, 2020. Take our nation back from Trump’s fascist administration.
