If you read as much as I do, and placed your personal life behind your desire to inform the American people about the truth, you would know many disgusting things about our government. It begins with your illegitimate president. He represents everything that is wrong with America.
During President Obama’s administration, efforts were taken which may have finally made America great for the first time in its 243 years. Hate groups we gently refer to as “white supremacists” were hiding in the shadows, under rocks, or in the slime at the bottom of swamps. The first amendment was heralded for what it is; the greatest and most important part of the bill of rights. All religions were given respect and the Christian religious right lobby was losing power. Women were gaining ground in their fight for complete equality in America. President Obama ended the military’s policy of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” and the LGBTQ community was no longer denied their rights under the first and 14^th amendments.
Trump is the leader of the white supremacist movement in America. His attempted Muslim ban revealed his belief in Islamophobia and xenophobia. He is a self-admitted sexual predator and has been accused of sexual assault by at least 25 women. Now he has confirmed that he chose Mike Pence as his running mate because they share a hatred for the LGBTQ community and is undoubtedly a homophobic.
Under Trump and Pence’s direction, the Health and Human Services Department released a proposed regulation that in effect says “gender identity” is not protected under federal laws that prohibit sex discrimination in health care.
Trump continues his attempts to move our nation backwards. 60-70 years of efforts by American legislators to move our nation forward and join the rest of the free world are in danger of being eliminated. This old, white, amoral man is the most destructive force ever to attack our nation.
My wife and I often discuss how we felt on November 9, 2016. Neither of us could believe that American voters had a level of ignorance so pronounced that the worst candidate in history had won the Electoral College. We were in shock and extremely depressed. There was little comfort in learning that Vladimir Putin helped Trump claim victory. One month into his illegitimate presidency our emotions had not subsided, and that fact continues today.
“Hate” is a horrible word and a destructive emotion. However, when you love someone or something completely and you are forced to stand on the sidelines and watch that someone or something being intentionally destroyed, that hideous emotion of hatred creeps into your very soul.
Not at any other time in my nearly 73 years on earth have I felt this emotion. There were times when I was very close to losing my control; my intellect; but Trump’s vile existence has become the first.I have not, and will not, accept Trump as a President of the United States. He serves other nations, not the United States of America.
