For decades our government has failed to perform the jobs for which they were elected. Both parties placed reelection as their primary goal. Washington politicians ignored the polls and the needs and wishes of the American people. The illegitimate election of the worst candidate in history began a change in our nation’s government, and it could literally be called the second American revolution.

The old, white men in the House and Senate are arrogant and believe that the American people are just plain stupid. To a certain extent they are correct. Most American voters cast their ballots based on what they see and hear on television. They have no information about the candidates they elect. However, I and millions of others will attempt to inform anyone and everyone we can about the truth. The 2018 elections produced allies in the House of Representatives.

Four young women are not only standing up to Trump, Fox Noise, and right-wing politicians, they are challenging the old guard in the Democratic Party. They are members of the growing diversity in America who recognize the need for a more aggressive and progressive movement in America.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib continue to challenge the antiquated policies of Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Prior to the 2018 election, Democratic congressmen and women allowed themselves to be bullied by Trump, Kellyanne Conway, Mitch McConnell, Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro, and other right-wing hypocrites and extremists. These young, true patriots refuse to accept their fallacious attacks.

Representative Pressley recently responded to a childish and manufactured attack by Trump’s primary paid liar, Kellyanne Conway. Conway misrepresented the rift between Pelosi and the “Patriotic Foursome.” Ms. Pressley mimicked Trump and created a nickname for our nation’s most famous prevaricator.

“[Conway], oh hi Distraction Becky,” Pressley responded. “Remember that time your boss tore babies from their mothers’ arms and threw them in cages? Yeah take a seat and keep my name out of your lying mouth.”

I am thrilled that some Democrats are no longer accepting unwarranted attacks from the failed right wing. Pelosi, Schumer, and others have appeared willing to accept fallacious criticism without retaliation. That time has come to an end.

Think about this when you vote on November 3, 2020. America desperately needs a government which represents them in Washington. The average age of all Americans is 37.8 years of age. Women compose 51 percent of the population. Millennials are the largest voting bloc in America. Polls reveal that most Americans support a progressive agenda. As a nation we are far below the quality of life in other developed nations. We hear a lot about the “economy,” but quality of life is the only viable measuring stick.

Republicans would like you to fear the word “socialism.” The truth is that the most successful American policies include aspects of socialism, including retirement programs, healthcare paid by employers, Social Security, Medicare, unemployment insurance, and tax incentives for the wealthy and large corporations. The real problem is that the wealthy, who are the primary owners of the Republican Party, reject social programs which would benefit most Americans. They lobby right-wing politicians to reject universal healthcare, free higher education, and even an increase in the federal minimum wage. Plutocracy is ruling America under Trump’s fascist regime.

Wake up America; we are under attack from the wealthy and their employees in the Republican Party. We don’t want change; change is mandatory.
