The world has listened to Trump for four years openly professing his racist beliefs. This week he surprised some members of his own party with blatant racially motivated attacks on four freshman members of the House of representatives. Trump is recognized by hate groups across America as their leader.

If you are a Trump supporter, it is impossible to deny the fact that you are a racist. You cannot offer your loyalty to a man and disapprove of his personal beliefs; that would be hypocritical.

What concerns me greatly is the fact that because millions of men and women support Trump, racism is a far greater problem than most Americans once believed. While the rest of the developed world has reached maturity, America is far behind. But there is hope.

Millennials are the largest voting block in America today. If they choose to go to the polls in large numbers, they can control the results of every election for years to come. Why is this important?

Millennials are less interested in material possessions. As a group they are far less racist. The LGBTQ community is accepted as normal. They tend to reject organized religion, but support individual choice. Women don’t have to ask for equality in all situations; they receive the respect they deserve.

I must interject a fact here. White millennials who live in our southern states may not embrace the qualities I just stated. This region of America continues to be less evolved.

However, there is hope for our nation’s future. As old men and women, like myself, lose our earthly bonds the United States will become a more enlightened country.

Let’s begin to heal America in 2020. We can rid our country of Trump and his cowardly party by using the most powerful weapon in America; our vote. On November 3, 2020, we must go to the polls in historic numbers. “Vote the bums out.”
