Republicans have refused to denounce Trump’s racist attacks and his cult for supporting the orange man’s despicable and un-American actions.
Today a video from 2008 went viral. It displayed the late Republican presidential candidate from 2008, John McCain, whose words and actions were the last from a real Republican.
At a campaign event where those assembled feared an Obama Presidency, Senator McCain approached a woman who indicated she wanted to be heard. Handed the microphone by McCain, the voter said she couldn’t “trust” Obama and called him “an Arab.”
Mr. McCain took the microphone away from the woman and stated the following.
“No, ma’am. He’s a decent family man, citizen that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues, and that’s what this campaign’s all about,” McCain said.
What would Trump have done in the same situation? He would likely have agreed with her and attacked Mr. Obama for being a black man. Surely, he would have found several other ways to belittle his adversary. This is Trump’s “style.”
This video was watched by thousands of Americans today. The contrast between Trump and a real Republican are dramatic and very accurate.
Trump is not an American president. He is a self-serving opportunist who hates the America of our founding fathers. He will never be my president and I hope you share my disdain for the worst man in America. You and I deserve better.
