Trump loves to take credit for President Obama’s accomplishments. Our growing economy is the result of policies and actions taken prior to Trump’s tiny inauguration. If continued, his new policies will eventually destroy a still recovering economy.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, a presidential candidate, is warning of an economic collapse unless the Trump administration changes its policies.

“Warning lights are flashing. Whether it’s this year or next year, the odds of another economic downturn are high — and growing,” Warren (D-Mass.) wrote in a Medium post entitled “The Coming Economic Crash–And How to Stop It.”

“I see a manufacturing sector in recession. I see a precarious economy that is built on debt — both household debt and corporate debt — and that is vulnerable to shocks. And I see a number of serious shocks on the horizon that could cause our economy’s shaky foundation to crumble,” she wrote.

I predicted a similar economic downturn. The stock market is an indicator of how well the wealthy are doing today and has no relation to the average working class man or woman. The only way to measure an economy which reflects the majority is looking at disposable income. Everyone I know is counting their pennies. Housing prices have doubled in the last two years. Gasoline is nearing four dollars per gallon. Because of Trump’s hasty decision to implement tariffs, consumers are beginning are beginning to pay higher prices for everything from cars to some food items.

The economy is great if you are one of America’s 607 billionaires or 10.8 million millionaires. If you are a working class American the story is far different. According to leading economists most millennials will never be able to buy a single family home. In my state of Nevada, a one bedroom apartment is unaffordable for most individuals. Without a roommate, minimum wage employees cannot afford to live in the areas where they are employed. Republicans continue to refute the fact that the federal minimum wage must be raised unless they are willing to all the gap in income inequality to widen.

No one in the mainstream media is reporting these facts.
