Trump and leaders of both the Democratic and Republican Parties have agreed on a budget and avoid another government shutdown. Conservatives are resisting this agreement and appear to prefer another government shutdown. These extremists in the TEA Party and the Freedom Caucus want their way regardless of the harm it will do to the American people.
Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.), a member of the House leadership, tweeted out a gif of the Joker burning a giant pile of cash when the announcement came out.
“Our credit card is maxed out,” he wrote in a follow-up Tweet. “What this budget deal does is ask the credit card company for another $320 billion in credit NOW for the chance to get paid back $75 billion in a decade. No bank would take that. American taxpayers shouldn’t either,” he added.
Let me expose the hypocrisy of Mr. Walker and his constituents. None of them spoke out or refused to vote in favor of Trump’s “tax reform.” His gifts to the wealthy and corporations have added one-trillion dollars to the deficit. They were not concerned about placing our nation farther over the fiscal cliff, and they’re lying when they complain about today’s agreement.
This is nothing but a power play. Fortunately, neither John Boehner nor Lyin Paul Ryan lead the House in 2019. Democrats are in charge, and these “conservative” traitors to the American people will be losers in this battle.
I need to be blunt here; this Republican Party in name only is f**ked up! They do not represent the American people. They serve special interests and themselves. They are the enemy of the people of the United States of America.
We, the voting public, must remove them from office on November 3, 2020. This country belongs to us.
