I and millions of others have attacked Donald Trump for a multitude of reasons. None of us is wrong, but it is now time to take a different approach.

Trump’s only tactic is to attack everyone who disagrees with his distorted views of America. He cannot talk about the issues which continue to plague America. He cannot discuss the future of America because he doesn’t care about where the people of our nation will be in 20 years. We, the people who love our country, must take a different approach to ridding our nation of the “Trump effect.”

Trump promotes anger, hatred, and violence. We must not only reject these deplorable beliefs; we must return to what made America a respected and even revered nation for 240 years.

When we join together and share compassion and understanding for all Americans; when we celebrate the Constitution; all of it; when people take precedence over preparing for war and placing corporate profits in priority number one; when racism disappears in America; when complete equality becomes a reality and not just an idea; only then can we become a great nation.

Although the United States is currently more divided than at any other time since the Civil War, we can change all that. We should eliminate red and blue states and become the “united states.” Voting should not be discouraged; every eligible American should vote in every election; local, state, and federal. And we must vote for candidates whose views are closest to our own; not for a party.

Only the people of America can make this a great nation. Although in 2018 a new breed of politicians was elected, there remain far too many old men and women we cannot be trusted to do the right thing.

The primary reason Trump must leave the White House asap is because he is not an American. Trump is a capitalist. His only concern; his only ‘god’ is money. He is using his illegitimate presidency to enhance his personal wealth, not to serve the American people. These are not American ideals; American principles.

The President of the United States must place the people of America first. The future of all 320 million citizens is the responsibility of the man or woman who enjoys the privilege of residing in the White House.

I have had the opportunity and the sorrow to watch the actions of 12 presidents in my lifetime. One was “great,” a couple were “good” and several were “unfit.” However, they all loved their country and attempted to be presidential and perform the job for which they were elected. The truth is that Trump has proven that he is unwilling to learn how to perform the duties for which he was elected by millions of uninformed men and women. We deserve a real president; a woman or man who earns our respect and our thanks for attempting to perform her or his duties to the best of her or his ability.

The President of the United States is a public servant. She or he must not be allowed to be a king or a fascist. When our leaders consider themselves above the electorate, it is time for them to go. A true leader leads by example, not by encouraging anger, hatred, and violence.

A president’s only ambition; her or his only duty; must be to serve the American people; all of the American people.
