Once again Republicans made fools of themselves by attempting to protect their illegitimate president. One Republican had the courage to break ranks and ask a question which when answered resulted in an upsetting fact.

Texas Representative Will Hurd: “Did you think that this was a single attempt by the Russians to get involved in our election or did you find evidence to suggest they’ll try to do this again?”

Robert Mueller: “It wasn’t a single attempt. They’re doing it as we sit here”

The FBI continues to warn our government about his fact, but Trump and McConnell are ignoring reality.

Our security agencies got it mostly right when they offered proof that Russia indeed interfered in our 2016 election. However, no one admits that it made a difference. Without access to all the information I cannot prove my assumptions, but they are logical and completely believable.

The use of social media by Putin’s agents likely resulted in two situations on election day. Thousands of voters believed the negative and fallacious messages and voted for Trump. The more likely result was a lower voter turnout than what was expected which gave Trump a win in the Electoral College. The three states which pushed him above 270; Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan; gave their electoral votes to Trump by a total of 77,000 votes. This makes the 2016 election the closest in history.

Several states have already asked for more money to enhance their cyber security efforts. McConnell has announced that there will be no additional funding to safeguard the 2020 election. He knows that Trump will need even more help next year to defeat the Democratic candidate.

My fellow Americans, the truth is that we cannot trust the Republican Party. Their very existence relies on falsehoods and misdirection. They are the enemy.
