For several decades the Democratic Party surrendered to the right-wing and abandoned its legacy. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer rarely took a stand against the Republican men and women who were moving farther to the right until their platform neared fascism. When Trump became their illegitimate president, they surrendered to their anti-American president.
For decades Democrats forgot the policies of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the only man in history who was labeled “the people’s president.”
Under Bush 41, and 43 our government moved to the right and refused to aggressively support the ambitions of the past. They allowed Republicans to belittle their beliefs. The term “liberal” was allowed to become a negative term. Thankfully a new, younger group of patriots have become the real leaders of the party of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 21st century.
Millennials are the largest demographic in America. A nation which averages 37.8 years of age cannot be served by a government whose average age is nearly 60 years old.
Old white men have led our nation backwards for far too long. Our nation barely registers on the scale of quality of life among developed nations. The wealthy are the only American citizens who enjoy the “American way of life” in 2019.
Led by “The Squad,” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Aryanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, our nation has representation for the majority for the first time in decades. They are true patriots who love the people of our nation and will never stop until real change happens in America.
For decades the working class has been ignored. Civil rights have been abandoned by old, white men in Washington. Equality has become defined by economics and not by citizenship. It’s time for change.
We have new leaders in the Democratic Party and the old, white men and women who once controlled the left wing of our nation will be left in the past unless they choose to join the revolution.
As a man who has witnessed the actions of 12 presidents and changes in America; both positive and negative; I am encouraged by the young men and women in our government who are courageous and dedicated to returning our nation’s values to their origin.
Empty rhetoric from the right-wing of our nation has made fools of millions of Americans for decades. Time to take our country back for the majority. Do your job and vote intelligently. Our future depends upon this fact.
