Mitch McConnell blocked two bills in the senate yesterday. That’s not news, he has refused to allow votes on hundreds of bills which began in the House. However, the two bills he quashed were efforts to secure future elections from interference by foreign nations. Today we learned of another reason #MoscowMitch blocked these bills.
McConnell has received huge campaign donations from four manufacturers of the voting machines used in multiple states.
McConnell offered a flimsy and fallacious excuse for his action.
“Clearly this request is not a serious effort to make a law. Clearly something so partisan that it only received one single solitary Republican vote in the House is not going to travel through the Senate by unanimous consent,” said McConnell on the Senate floor.
This action earned him a new nickname on twitter; #Moscow Mitch.
The senior Senator from Kentucky has lied to the people of his state for nearly 35 years. He is up for reelection on November 3, 2020. Time for him to retire. McConnell has failed to perform his duties for an entire career filled with failures.
Removing Trump from office is a must, but ridding our government of the creator of the “party of no” is equally important. McConnell has used his powerful position in the senate to serve his party and his own ambitions. He is a traitor to the American people.
