The Carlottsville Terrorist
Like every Republican president in my lifetime, Trump’s economic policies are failing. Giving more money to the super-rich does not create good-paying jobs. The one percent either puts more money in offshore accounts, buys another mansion, another luxury car, or more cases of $2,000 per bottle wine. Bullying nations with tariffs results in a trade war. The truth is that Republicans are incapable of governing a nation of more than 320 million people.
The last two Democratic presidents were forced to correct the mistakes of Republicans. Bill Clinton not only saved our economy, when he left office in 2001 our nation’s treasury had a surplus. Barrack Obama saved America from a depression caused by the Bush 43 administration who continued the Republican policy of “trickle-down economics,” and placed our nation in two costly and unwinnable wars. When he left office in 2017, our nation was in full recovery.
Trump is worse than any of his predecessors. The failed businessman had zero experience in government, and his choices for cabinet positions and closest advisers are inexperienced millionaires and billionaires who have proven themselves incompetent.
When a unilateral decision was made by an unqualified and illegitimate president to place tariffs on imports, experts in the economic community criticized his decision. They warned Trump of a developing trade war which would harm all countries involved.
Trump attended the G7 summit in France this weekend. Forced to face the reality of his current trade war with China, he is backing away from his threats to increase tariffs on imports from the second largest economy in the world.
Trump’s failed policies already added one-trillion dollars to the deficit, and increased prices on retail goods. Economic experts are forecasting another recession under a Republican administration.
Trump continues to lie about our “great economy” while insiders claim that he is considering a reversal of his current policies. Trump is already lying in an effort to cover-up his mistakes. Not once in his life has the egomaniac admitted that he made an error in judgement.
I have no doubt that we will be told more lies this week. Trump will claim that it was China which surrendered to his demands. The truth is that Trump knows a recession is probable, and that a major economic downturn would guarantee a major loss in the 2020 election. These are the facts.
Tell everyone, “the truth lives here.”
