Recent efforts by Moscow Mitch McConnell to allow foreign interference in our elections are obvious. You might be asking, why? To understand why Moscow Mitch is a traitor, you must look at his failed history as a Republican politician.
In 1984 Moscow Mitch won his bid for the Senate as the junior Senator from Kentucky by just 5,100 votes. He has now had the privilege of holding a seat for nearly 35 years. The old man has no record of accomplishments for his state or our nation in more than three decades.
It was Moscow Mitch who stood before the television cameras in January of 2009 and promised the American people that his party would do nothing as long as ‘that black man’ was in the White House. He created the “Party of No,” and hindered our nation’s recovery from a near depression, caused by another failed Republican president. He kept that promise, and continues to do so today.
In 2014 Republicans regained control of the Senate. Moscow Mitch McConnell was chosen by his party as the Senate Majority Leader. This poor decision began the negative process of creating a totally dysfunctional government.
Since January 3, 2019, the House has passed more than 200 bills to increase the quality of life for the American people. Moscow Mitch has failed to allow a vote on a single bill.
One of those bills would have increased security for future elections. This was the day when he earned the nickname “Moscow Mitch.” Why would a United States Senator want to allow a foreign nation, specifically Russia, to make attempts to alter our election results? Sadly, there are two answers and both are acts of treason against our nation.
First, Moscow Mitch is eager for the worst illegitimate president in history to win a second term. Without outside assistance, Donny Boy’s chances are slim and none.
Second, two of Moscow Mitch’s biggest donors have been Russian oligarchs.
Finally, why is the FEC important in the process of securing our elections?
The Federal Election Commission is charged with protecting the legitimacy, and the integrity of our election process. One of the FEC’s vice chairmen, Matthew Petersen, recently resigned. The FEC now lacks the ability to have a quorum of four needed to enforce our election laws. Who’s responsible for this? Who else but Moscow Mitch.
First, you must understand the system. Commissioners are elected in pairs, every six years; one Democrat, and one Republican to prevent political bias. However, the “do-nothing” Senate Majority Leader, Moscow Mitch, not only created a dysfunctional government, he intentionally destroyed the ability of the FEC to perform its duties.
“Since McConnell—who has built his latter career on destroying campaign finance law—became majority leader in 2015, not a single commissioner has been confirmed. His opposition stretches back to his time as minority leader as well. In 2009, President Obama nominated labor lawyer John J. Sullivan for a seat. He received a unanimous vote from the Senate Rules Committee in June of that year, and then … never got a vote.” The “do nothing party” in action.
There is no discussion, Moscow Mitch McConnell is a traitor to America and its need for effective government. He is up for reelection in 2020. I beg the people of Kentucky to do the right thing and bring the old man, who will be 78 next year, home to retirement. No man or woman over the age of 60 should be in our government, and no man or woman should serve more than two terms in the Senate or three terms in the House.
Moscow Mitch is the poster boy for term limits. He has caused great harm to democracy and the future of our nation. Old, white men are the reason our federal government has the lowest approval rating in history. Moscow Mitch is their leader.
Tell everyone, “the truth lives here.”
