Trump chose the least qualified cabinet in history. There was one exception; Secretary of Defense, James “Mad Dog” Mattis. General Mattis was very familiar with military operations and the needs of the largest army in the world.
Mattis resigned last year citing ‘irreconcilable policy differences,’ a nice way of saying ‘Trump refused to listen to me.’ You might remember Trump claiming that “I know more than the generals.” Just one of his many, many lies.
Mattis recently wrote about Trump’s continuing effort to isolate America and his biggest mistake and placing the U.S. “at increasing risk in the world” when it doesn’t embrace its allies. Trump chooses to praise and ‘cozy-up’ to leaders who are enemies of the United States.
In an essay that was adapted from his forthcoming book, “Call Sign Chaos: Learning to Lead,” a portion of which was published in The Wall Street Journal, the retired Marine Corps general also said he stepped down in December when he thought his advice was no longer valid in Trump’s eyes, writing, “I did as well as I could for as long as I could.”
Trump’s White House currently has a nearly 50 percent vacancy rate. There is no Secretary of Defense, many other lesser positions remain unfilled, either due to resignation or firings.
Those who remain are woefully unqualified, including Betsy DeVos, Mike Pompeo, Wilbur Ross, Ben Carson, Steve Mnuchin, William Barr, and many others.
Trump has proven himself to be an unstable, volatile man and no one with experience and self-respect will work for the egomaniac. It really doesn’t matter; he listens to no one.
Trump must be removed from office either by impeachment or article 25.
Tell everyone, “the truth lives here.”
