Republicans have a steep hill to climb in 2020. They oppose every issue most important to the average American. Right-wing politicians reject universal healthcare, fair and sensible immigration reform, free or affordable education for all, women’s rights, same-sex marriage, and reforming our gun laws, among other issues.

Leading the fight against common sense gun law reform is the worst senator in America’s history, Moscow Mitch McConnell. Throughout his nearly 35 wasted years in the senate he has received millions of dollars from the NRA gun lobby, and he is up for reelection in 2020. However, this and many other traitorous actions by Moscow Mitch my end his too-long tenure in Washington.

“Everytown for Gun Safety” is planning to take aggressive action to keep gun law reform at the top of a list of issues most important to the American people.

Arguing second amendment rights is no longer a reason to resist actions to make Americans safer in school, at a movie theater, attending a concert, shopping at a mall, eating at a restaurant, or worshiping in a church, synagogue, temple, or mosque. The second amendment was poorly written, and the most contested at the Continental Congress. If our founding fathers could have foreseen today’s weapons of mass destruction, the amendment would have been more inclusive.

Once again, after two mass murders within 24 hours in El Paso and Dayton, Moscow Mitch and his cowardly party sent “prayers and wishes,” but remained on vacation and did nothing else.

Everytown for Gun Safety is one of the largest pro-gun reform groups in the nation. They will focus on all Republicans who accept money from the NRA gun lobby, and the reelection campaign of Moscow Mitch.

This very old white man is unworthy of remaining in the senate. Since January 3, 2019 Moscow Mitch has refused to allow a vote on more than 200 bills pass in the House which would positively affect the American people. He has ignored any effort to change our gun laws, in opposition to the majority of Americans who demand change. He continues to support the NRA although there have been more mass shootings than days on the calendar for the last three years, and more than 33,000 men, women and children die from gunshot wounds each year.

Voting every Republican out of office in 2020 will change America, and return common sense to Washington. The ‘Party of No’ must be defeated. Please vote; it’s about your future.

Tell everyone, “the truth lives here.”
