Trump Doing what Trump Does Best; Blame Everyone Else for his Failures

Nearly every economic expert in America warned Trump that implementing tariffs was a very bad idea. If he believed that this was how to negotiate a trade deal, he was living in fantasyland. The United States and China are engaged in a trade war, and there is no end in sight. Trump’s failures are many and his accomplishments are nil.

Not once in his wasted and pitiful life has Trump accepted responsibilities for his mistakes and his failures. Why should he start now?

Trump is blaming the very companies he harmed the most, and his appointee for not lowering the federal interest rate. This is a very stupid man who knows nothing about business and even less about our nation’s fiscal needs or his responsibility to fill those needs.

“If the Fed would cut, we would have one of the biggest Stock Market increases in a long time. Badly run and weak companies are smartly blaming these small Tariffs instead of themselves for bad management…and who can really blame them for doing that? Excuses!” Trump wrote on Twitter Friday.

Small tariffs? They are huge when you consider the facts. Some of these businesses have a minimal profit margin. Most of them are not the major corporations to whom Trump gave a huge and foolhardy tax breaks to in his misnamed tax reform bill. He is also harming consumers; and it will only get worse. Additional tariffs begin tonight at midnight.

“Imposing tariffs in September on the majority of all footwear products from China — including nearly every type of leather shoe — will make it impossible for hardworking American individuals and families to escape the harm that comes from these tax increases,” the group wrote. “This uncertainty the China trade war has brought to our industry is stifling U.S. growth and halting capital investment in jobs, infrastructure, technologies, and more competitive pricing for our customers.”

I remember when Trump claimed that he “had a very good brain.” It appears that his tiny brain is AWOL.

Trump continued to make excuses on his favorite propaganda machine, Fox noise. They don’t and will not fly.

“So, what does Pat Toomey want me to do? Does he want me to say let me put my hands up and let China continue to rip us off?” Trump fired back in an interview on Thursday with Brian Kilmeade on Fox News Radio. Trump later added that talks with China would continue.

“I think they want to make a deal,” Trump said. “I sort of think they have to make a deal.” Really?

Trump will not admit that China refuses to be bullied. He cannot negotiate in good faith; his only tactic is to make threats and continue to hide his lack of intelligence and knowledge of how to perform the job for which he was elected.

There is no good news about the coming recession. Although it will end Trump’s failed presidency, which is a good thing, it will harm American businesses and American consumers. Once again a Republican will have greatly harmed our nation’s economy. That’s four in a row.

Tell everyone, “the truth lives here.”
