Strong Candidates; Three with very Progressive Ideas

By James Turnage, author of “A Little Murder in the Biggest Little City”

First, I stated long ago that Joe Biden would never be the Democratic nominee. My opinion is not based on his chronological age; he would be 78 just weeks after the election; it’s his “mental age.” Biden is out of touch with a nation which averages 37.8 years of age. The truth is that our current illegitimate president was 70 years of age on election day and was far too old to become our nation’s president.

That said, I believe three Democratic candidates stand out above the rest; Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, and Bernie Sanders. All three represent the needs and wishes of the majority of Americans. All three are strong on the issues and support my beliefs closely.

Of the three, Bernie Sanders is my greatest concern. His mind is young, but his body is old. If he were nominated his choice of a running mate would become his most important decision he would make prior to his inauguration.

There is no doubt that Senator Elizabeth Warren would make a great president. She continues to fight for the American people, and her ideas for our nation’s future are on point. She is strong and would crush the orange man in November 2020. Once again, I am a little concerned about her age as well. I may be worrying about nothing, but I worry a lot.

I believe Kamala Harris is the perfect fit for America in the 21st century. Like Senator Warren, Senator Harris is a strong woman with great ideas and the type of appeal which would destroy Trump and send him back to his golden tower.

The most important fact evolving from last night’s debate is that Democrats are offering the American people strong choices. Each of them would be far better than Trump or any other Republican.

During the 2016 campaign I constantly made fun of the 17 members riding in the GOP clown car. Then I became terrified when Trump took the driver’s seat. Only one candidate spoke about the issues and was qualified to sit behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office; Ohio Governor John Kasich.

This year I feel different emotions. With a few exceptions, I am proud of this field of women and men who are seeking the highest office in the land. They have refrained from attacking each other personally. There is no one using the term, “little Pete,” or “lying Joe Biden,” or other such childish and moronic attacks.

This group talked about the issues and offered hope for America’s future. They did not suggest that America was the worst place to live on the planet, which is what I heard frequently in 2016 from Republicans.

My fellow Americans, we are fortunate to have candidates who care about all Americans seeking the presidency. Each of them will restore democracy to America and begin healing the damage caused by the worst president in history.

Tell everyone; “the truth lives here.”
