Our founding fathers designed three branches of government, but only one was created to be apolitical. The Supreme Court’s only function is to inspect laws created by congress and the states and determine if they are or are not in violation of the Constitution. Sadly, over the last several decades, the Court has become more partisan than ever in our nation’s history. Its original purpose has been discarded.

Politics always played some role in the Court’s decisions, but not to the level seen since the Reagan administration. With the assistance of Moscow Mitch McConnell Trump stacked the Supreme Court with right-wing extremists who oppose democracy and are willing to ignore the Constitutionality of issues placed before our nation’s highest court.

A recent decision to discredit federal law concerning asylum seekers is worrisome to the qualified Justices on the Court. Sonia Sotomayor wrote the dissenting opinion and expressed her concern about the future of the Court.

In her opinion she denounces the five Republican appointed members who discounted previous policies and surrendered to Trump’s vile demands. This is a break with decades old protocols and procedures. The Court is overstepping its bounds to serve their illegitimate president. This decision is obviously the most egregious violation of the Court’s submission to the executive branch since its choice in the 2000 election to halt a recount in Florida and gift the presidential election to George W. Bush. Previously, this was the worst decision in history by the Court. Remember, in 2000 Al Gore won the popular vote. The decision to allow Florida’s controversial results to stand gave Bush a win in the Electoral College. Republicans cannot win if the popular vote elects the president.

The “check and balance system” created by our founding fathers could have been perfection. However, corruption by greedy and self-serving politicians have created a dysfunctional government which fails the Constitution and the principles of our founding fathers.

During Trump’s illegitimate administration, Moscow Mitch McConnell continues to surrender the powers of congress to traitor Donald Trump. The creators of America, with their superior intellect, gave slightly more power to congress with the intent of preventing autocratic control of our nation’s government. Moscow Mitch has capitulated to the worst president in history.

Not only Trump, but the entire Republican Party must be removed from Washington in 2020. If not, America will be lost and the defeat of the American dream will be complete. Trump, his cowardly party, and Vladimir Putin will celebrate while the American people will become slaves of their government.

If you think I’m exaggerating, don’t vote in 2020. Wait and see, but it will be too late. You and your family will now be serving Trump and his fascist regime. There will be no more legitimate elections and Putin’s dream will become a reality.
