I watched the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court nomination hearings in 1991. I was ashamed as I watched old, white, male senators attack Anita Hill who had accused Thomas of sexual harassment. The hearing became all about her while they defended Thomas, who was obviously unfit to sit on the Court.

If I didn’t know about the current Republican Party in name only, I would have been shocked when I watched the hearings to confirm Brett Kavanaugh for the seat on the Court vacated by retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy. It was more disgusting than the debacle in 1991.

Dr. Christine Blasey Ford testified that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when they were in college. Old, white senators including Chuck Grassley attacked her veracity and her character while defending another sexual predator from the right-wing.

After Kavanaugh was confirmed by the Republican-dominated senate, more accusations arose against his morality and character. He is unfit to be a Justice on the highest court in the land.

During the nomination process, Susan Collins, a Republican Senator from Maine, revealed herself as a traitor to her sex, and a puppet of Trump and Moscow Mitch. She praised Kavanaugh and attacked Dr. Ford.

Let’s take a look at the hypocrite from Maine to understand the movement in her state to defeat her reelection bid in 2020.

In 2016 she wrote and op-ed for the Washington Post, where she described: “Why I cannot support Trump” and said he “does not reflect historical Republican values nor the inclusive approach to governing that is critical to healing the divisions in our country.”

Today, in an e-mail intended to aid her attempt to raise funds for her reelection, she wrote the following.

“Justice Kavanaugh went through a rigorous confirmation hearing and seven FBI background checks—scouring every aspect of his life,” wrote Collins. “Rigorous,” meaning all of five days. “Brett Kavanaugh, his wife, and his two daughters are on the verge of having to go through the pain of the confirmation process all over again,” she laments. “The Far Left is so determined to further their political agenda, they won’t hesitate to ruin someone’s life in the process.” “Boo Hoo.”

If she sounds like Trump or Moscow Mitch, don’t act surprised. Collins is a Republican first and an American second. She is another old, white woman who is opportunistic and refuses to serve the American people. She must be sent home on November 3, 2020, along with Moscow Mitch, John Cornyn, and other old, white Republicans.

“The truth lives here;” spread the truth.
