“At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior – it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it,” Ocasio-Cortez, who represents New York’s 14th congressional district, tweeted late Saturday evening.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez nailed a fact I have been complaining about for years. Democrats are cowards and refuse to do the right thing, and often that is taking aggressive action against a failing Republican Party.

The fact is that impeachment proceedings should have begun at least a year ago. Trump has been allowed to believe that he is above the law for far too long. Two issues; obstruction of justice, and his many violations of the Emoluments Clause demand that congress removes him from the White House.

When asked about impeachment, she believes it is necessary. She also called out Republicans for their failure to stand-up to the schoolyard bully and fight against his many crimes against the American people.

“I want to see every Republican go on the record and knowingly vote against impeachment of this president knowing his corruption, having it on the record so that they can have that stain on their careers for the rest of their lives,” she told reporters.

I’m glad I am not a Republican; I would be living in shame. Supporting an illegitimate president who is not a true American is unforgivable.

Impeach Donald John Trump.
