Trump is Destroying his own Base and Alienating the States which Gave him the Electoral College

by James Turnage, author of “Four More Years”

Trump made another extremely poor decision when he placed tariffs on imports. No one in his administration, and not a single respected economist agreed with his unilateral decision. The resulting trade war has harmed multiple industries and American consumers are beginning to feel the pain of his failure at the cash register.

No one was hurt more than America’s farmers; the same group who strongly supported Trump in 2016. They should have done their homework. Trump is not a successful businessman, he has failed at every attempt.

Even after $30 billion dollars in aid for the farmers Trump harmed, they continue to struggle. If the situation continues into the next growing season, many smaller farms will experience foreclosure. Many of the men and women who own these farms have voiced their intention not to vote for Trump in 2020.

Today, Mike Pence shattered a 100+ year old rule which prevents motorized vehicles on Mackinac Island, Michigan. Michigan, Missouri, and Pennsylvania are the three states which gifted Trump the Electoral College in 2016 by less than 80,000 total votes. He won Michigan by 0.02 percent.

Trump and his circle of sinners are destroying his base. The most unpopular illegitimate president in history is peeing his pants when he looks at the facts he must face in 2020.

The truth is that the Republican Party is self-destructing. By supporting Trump’s destructive and unconstitutional policies they are alienating voters. Donald Trump does not have “coat-tails.” He is an albatross. If Republicans think he will help them win elections, they are dumber than I thought.

In the senate, several Republican seats are at risk, including Moscow Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, and Susan Collins. Voters have already expressed their displeasure with Republican who refuse to represent the working class; the majority.

Only America’s voters can save our nation. Only one party represents all 320 million Americans, and it’s not the Trump Party. Take your country back.

“The truth lives here;” spread the word.
