I do not celebrate “Presidents Day.” The reason is based on fact; very few of our 45 presidents deserve to have a holiday dedicated to them. Most were abject failures; men who were unworthy and unqualified to lead the nation of our founding fathers.

The truth is a few were worse than the others. The list is not short, but you know who they are if you study American history. Today we have the absolute worst in our nation’s history. Donald Trump has not experienced a single day in office when his presidency was not controversial and under investigation; this is historical, and not the kind any man or woman who holds the office of President of the United States would like to claim.

Currently Trump is facing impeachment. His unconstitutional actions demand his removal from office.

Let’s reduce the discussion to its most simple form. Fact; Republicans began impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton because he got a blow job in the Oval Office. I am not defending him, but compared to the crimes committed by Trump this seems to be nothing more than another  ridiculous effort by the right-wing.

Trump is guilty of collusion with a foreign nation. He attempted to obstruct justice at least ten times. The orange man has committed multiple ethics violations. His support and ultimate leadership of white supremacy is a direct violation of the first amendment. Recently, his attempt to “rig” the 2020 election with an attempted bribe of the leader of Ukraine with taxpayer money is pure treason.

Most importantly; more important than all of his crimes; is the fact that he represents only a small percentage of the American people. According to the most recent polls, only 36 percent of the American people support the worst president in American history. And he admits this as fact. He continues to attack all Democratic voters and dehumanizes liberals. If you are Hispanic, he would have you deported, even if you are a citizen of the United States of America.

The ultimate reason Trump is the worst illegitimate president in history is the fact that he has alienated our allies and chosen to support the leaders of our enemies. No nation can exist without the support of other countries; isolationism is suicide.

Over and over again Trump has praised Vladimir Putin, Mohammad bin Salman, and Kim Jong-un. This is the reason why Trump cannot be called an “American president.” Not a single of his predecessors offered their support to our enemies in the past.

The truth is, Trump is a danger to the future of America. But we must not vote for a candidate because she or he can defeat the worst president in history; we must vote for the candidate best equipped to lead America forward. She or he must be a progressive whose ideas represent most Americans.

The field of Democratic candidates is very qualified, but only a few can be called progressive; Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris. They understand the failures of capitalism as it dominates America today. It’s time for the United States to join the rest of developed nations and move boldly into the 21^st century.

“The truth lives here;” spread the word.
