Mocking Greta Thunberg, Trump Embarrasses America and Makes an Ass of Himself Again

by James Turnage, author of “DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR GOD AND COUNTRY”

16-year-old Greta Thunberg made an impassioned speech before the United Nations yesterday. The content of her speech and the way she delivered it to world leaders made headlines around the world. She made the most important point of all when she reminded the old leaders of today that choosing not to take serious measures to halt and reverse climate change will affect her generation and not theirs. She told them that ‘doing nothing’ is unacceptable. I suggest every American read the full text and understand how badly your illegitimate president is harming the future of the United States and the world, while offering support for the petroleum industry.

Proving once again that Trump will personally attack anyone who disagrees with him, he mocked this wonderful young lady who displayed dignity, intelligence, and a true sense of purpose. Meanwhile, your failed and illegitimate president once again revealed that he has no class and is mentally incompetent.

After the young Swedish lady glared at Trump, he posted a tweet which failed to be sarcasm.

“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see!” Trump wrote on Twitter alongside a clip of Thunberg’s speech.

I’m sure Trump hated three things about Ms. Thunberg’s speech. First, it was a convincing attack on Trump’s denial of climate change. Second, this was a woman attacking his personal beliefs. Third, she is a teenager, and young men and women around the world despise the orange man.

Here are just a few excerpts from her address to the world.

“This is all wrong. I shouldn’t be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean,” Thunberg told the U.N.

“Yet you all come to us young people for hope. How dare you? You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words. And yet, I’m one of the lucky ones.

“People are suffering. People are dying and dying ecosystems are collapsing.

“We are in the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairytales of eternal economic growth. How dare you?”

I am excited and proud to be in a world where young men and women are becoming activists. They are fighting for their future. If younger Americans would become one-half as involved in their nation’s future as the rest of the world, not a single Republican would ever win an election.

I plead with every young American; vote, encourage others to do the same, and take control of our nation’s future. It belongs to you, not 73-year-old men like me.

“The truth lives here;” please spread the word.
