I have witnessed hundreds of attempts by Trump and his party to misdirect the truth. In the last couple of days I have read about the saddest and most despicable efforts I have ever seen. Trump has admitted that he is guilty of treason by offering a partial transcript of his conversation with Ukraine President Zelensky, and for some strange and ludicrous reason he is attempting to attack a real American in a sad and futile attempt to misdirect all real Americans.

Joe Biden is an American. Unlike Trump, the former senator and vice-president has placed his country first for much of his adult life. He’s made mistakes in his life, and also unlike Trump he has admitted that he is not perfect. They are complete opposites.

Trump’s desperate supporters have released an ad focused on a past issue which has already been proven false. The truth is this is a dual attempt to misdirect the fact that Trump will be impeached, and an effort to discredit one of his possible rivals in 2020. It is an ugly attack video and nothing more. Another disgusting right-wing fear tactic.

Maybe Trump’s supporters should spend their money on better lawyers than “Crazy Rudy.” He’s going to need them.
