Trump’s Lawyers are almost as Stupid as He Is

The best attorneys in our nation who are well versed in federal law related to the presidency have declined to represent Trump. Therefore, he has been forced to use incompetent individuals such as Rudy Giuliani. Another fool who is attempting to defend Trump’s crimes is Jay Sekulow.
Let’s be clear here; it was Trump himself who gave congress the proof that he attempted to seek help for his reelection from a foreign leader. Sekulow appeared on MSNBC making efforts to lie and misdirect Trump’s impending impeachment. Here is a part of Sekulow’s conversation with Ari Melber.
JAY SEKULOW: I don’t think it’s impeachable. I don’t see where it’s a high crime or misdemeanor. Tell me what rule, law, or statute has been violated by the president as commander in chief and as the chief executive under Article Two of the constitution violated any rule. You may not like the politics of it. You may not like the statement but where does it violate a law? Where does this rise to the level of a high crime or misdemeanor. I know you’ll say get to the whistleblower—
ARI MELBER:–We are going to get to the whistleblower. We are. Because we’re not there yet.
SEKULOW: Go ahead. All right.
MELBER: You’re asking about whether there is a statutory violation. As you know, what the founders did was write in the idea that you could have high crimes and misdemeanors. You want to point to statutes, that’s not required, but—hold on, and I’ll let you respond, sir. It is unlawful to “solicit” or “receive” any foreign help which includes “things of value.” So, if you want a statute, I’ve got it up on the screen. That’s not even required. The other thing I want to ask you—
SEKULOW: Do you really, Ari, in all honesty —
MELBER:–I want to ask you and I’ll give you time. If Donald Trump didn’t do anything wrong in this Ukraine plot why did he deny it and keep shifting the defense?
The Republican Party is attempting to remove the important wording of the law. The fact is that the president does not have to convicted of a crime to be impeached. Efforts to harm the dignity and integrity of the presidency are sufficient to remove a sitting president from office.
Trump says thousands of ridiculous things called lies, but remember this one which applies to Giuliani and Sekulow.
“I have the best people. People are standing in line to work in my White House.”
If these are the “best,” I don’t want to learn about the worst. Trump might as well have Eric act as his attorney.
