Once in a while integrity trounces a paycheck. This is likely the situation on Fox Noise today. Shepard Smith resigned from the fake news network today.
The truth is that 90+ percent of Fox Noise’ personalities are paid liars. Since 1996 the right-wing propaganda machine has supported the GOP and attacked liberals and moderates. They have no principles or respect for the truth. Last year it became evident that Shepard was struggling with what he was paid to do and the truth.
“I wonder,” he told a Time magazine reporter last year, “if I stopped delivering the facts, what would go in its place in this place that is most watched, most listened, most viewed, most trusted? I don’t know.”
Insiders report that in September Smith met with Fox executives and asked to be released from his contract. He was in conflict with the “opinion” broadcasts including Hannity, Carlson, Ingraham, Pirro, Dobbs, and others who blindly support the worst president in history.
Several members of the small but legitimate division of Fox Noise offered their support of Smith. One comment appeared to represent them all.
“Our leader walked,” a Fox correspondent said on condition of anonymity. “This place is devoid of clear leadership.”
