Let’s look at the sequence of events which began Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s attempt to murder all of the Kurdish people.

First, Trump made a unilateral decision to remove over 90 percent of American troops from the border between Turkey and Syria. U.S. forces had been fighting with the Kurds for five years to defeat ISIS. Either Trump is more ignorant than I believed, or he did not care that the Kurds are American allies and responsible for the defeat of the Islamic State. This foolhardy decision was made after a phone call with the president/dictator of Turkey.

Both Democrats and Republicans questioned and even denounced this decision. Immediately after our military retreated from the border Erdogan began attacks on not only the Kurdish military positions, but also the villages inhabited by Kurdish women and children.

Trump retaliated with a letter; actually, it was another empty threat.

“Let’s work out a good deal! You don’t want to be responsible for slaughtering thousands of people, and I don’t want to be responsible for destroying the Turkish economy—and I will,” Trump wrote, concluding, “Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!” It was a letter so bizarre that reporters had to double-check with the White House that it was real. And that astonishing weirdness is exactly what a Russian official commented on. Was this presidential or the failed effort of a schoolyard bully after he f**ked up?

The Kremlin laughed at Trump’s childish and futile effort after Erdogan claimed that he threw it in the trash.

“You don’t often encounter such language in correspondence between heads of state. It’s a highly unusual letter,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters. He’s not wrong. And it’s hard to read the fact that he bothered to comment on it, and in those terms, as anything but deserved mocking of Trump.

Today it was announced that after Trump’s puppet, Mike Pence, made a desperate effort to save Trump’s humongous derriere with a hurried trip to Turkey, a cease fire has begun. How long it will last; no one can predict.

Our illegitimate president is not mentally incompetent, he is a complete idiot. He cannot be allowed to represent our nation to the world for one more day. Our government cannot allow one moron to run the asylum.
