This week Trump decided that the 2020 G7 Summit would be held at his Doral Country Club in Florida. Trump would have profited millions of dollars from the event. This is a blatant and historical violation of the Emoluments Clause. No president is allowed to profit from foreign business interests while in office.
Today Trump was forced to remove Doral from consideration for the meeting.
The President tweeted: “We will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G-7 in 2020. We will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately.”
In another tweet, Trump said, “I thought I was doing something very good for our Country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 Leaders.”
Trump is full of shit, but he’s not very good at deceiving the American people. He continues to use his presidency to increase his personal fortune. Trump is a disgrace to his office and a travesty for the future of America.
Trump is nothing more than a desperate failure. If this is the type of child you believe should lead America into the past, I feel a little sorry for you; but not much.
