I do not watch television news because it is filled with lies, half-truths, and lies of omission. However, I read various sources of events in America and around the world. The truth is, I read too much. Just reading what Republicans and their fuhrer do and say each day makes me sick to my stomach. The right-wing is disgusting and has become the enemy of most Americans. I was once a compassionate, happy, man who kept my negative emotions in check. Today I am an angry old man.
Trump is destroying the efforts of his predecessors over the last 75 years. His fascist actions are in opposition to the needs and wishes of the American people.
Some will say, “what about the millions of men and women who continue to support Trump?” They are not Americans; they are “Trumpists.” They share his beliefs in white supremacy, extreme nationalism, religious bigotry, homophobia, and sexism. The truth is they are “anti-Americans.” They deny the validity of the Constitution, believing that their fuhrer is above the law.
Trump has established policies intended to harm minorities, Muslims, women, the LGBTQ community, the working class, and small businesses, including our nation’s farmers.
Today I read an article which is a perfect example of Trump’s ruination of our nation’s growth and why we are no longer respected by other developed nations. The following is a summation of his decision.
“From taxpayer-funded foster care and adoption agencies to programs that serve individuals struggling with substance abuse and youth homelessness, grantees of the Department of Health and Human Services got a green light from the Trump administration Friday to discriminate against LGBTQ people.”
This is a direct violation of the 14th amendment. “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
This is an especially egregious denial of equal rights because these programs denied to the LGBTQ community are partially funded by taxpayer dollars. I’m sure that this will join many of his unconstitutional actions and be negated by a federal court, but for a man who holds the office which is intended to represent all Americans, this is unforgivable.
Impeach Trump and lock him up. He is unfit to be called the President of the United States of America.
