I remember 12 presidents. When I was ten years old, Dwight Eisenhower was seeking a second term. I watched the Republican convention and followed the election. After “Ike” came John Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton. George W. Bush, Barrack Obama, and now Donald Trump. In case you lost count, that’s twelve men who wore the Title of President of the United States. Only one was not white, and only two did not win the popular vote. In my estimation, only one of them could be called ‘great,’ and several of them will be remembered as inadequate, or worse. However, with a single exception, each of them had moments when they offered the American people encouragement during difficult times, and hope for the future; until now.
The twelfth, Trump, continues to incite anger, hatred, violence, and division among the American people. Not one word of inspiration has come from his lying lips. He constantly attacks anyone who dares to criticize him for his fascist and dangerous policies. Everything must be about him. He is an egomaniac of monumental proportions. Trump takes credit for everyone else’s accomplishments but refuses to accept blame for his failures. It’s always someone else’s fault.
Negativity is the order of the day in a White House which has become tainted by black stains. Trump is not a man. The orange baby in the Oval Office is a blight on humanity. It is a consensus of opinion that he is the worst thing to happen to the United States in its 243 years.
A perfect example of the disappointing and denigrating effects of the illegitimate presidency of Trump occurred on Wednesday at another hate rally in Louisiana.
Another mistake by voters, Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana, embarrassed himself and his office when he spoke before Trump’s cult.
“In three short years, President Trump has doubled the growth in the greatest economy in all of human history. And do you know what our Democratic friends have done for him?” Kennedy asked. “Speaker Nancy Pelosi is trying to impeach him.”
“I don’t mean any disrespect, but it must suck to be that dumb,” Kennedy added, prompting widespread laughs from the crowd and grinning from President Trump.
It is redundant to say that Trump and his party have no class, and no integrity. I am sickened for all real Americans who love their country; not the country of this Republican Party in name only.
