Trump is incompetent. He continues to fail in the area of international relations, and has failed to address several crises in America, including opioid addiction, universal healthcare, and our failing educational system. He continues to brag about the economy. My question is “what has Trump done to increase the quality of life for all Americans?”

Trump supporters will point to the stock market. First, do you have thousands or millions of dollars invested on Wall Street? Second, the rise in the Stock Market began under President Obama’s administration. The truth is nearly every economic claim by Trump is the result of programs begun under President Obama.

The reality is that leading economists predict another recession under another Republican president. The wealthy are experiencing an increase in their personal income while income inequality widens for the majority.

Fact: After his inauguration, one of his first acts was to give additional tax breaks to himself and America’s other 704 billionaires and 18.6 million millionaires. Both categories have increased in less than three years. When Trump took office, there were approximately 540 billionaires and 10.8 million millionaires. Meanwhile, the average wage for the working class has remained stagnant, and in some areas declined.

His second act, joined by Moscow Mitch McConnell, and Lyin Paul Ryan, was to pass his misnamed “tax reform.” Cutting corporate taxes and adding more tax breaks for the super-rich resulted in our national debt rising to 23 trillion dollars; another record for Trump. I’m sure you cannot comprehend what this number looks like. Count the zeroes. $23,000,000,000,000.

This is Trump’s economy. When President Obama left office in 2017 our nation was in full recovery mode. Today it is teetering on another disaster, thanks to foolhardy tariffs and huge tax breaks for the super-rich.

The truth will set us free from Trump’s illegitimate, immoral, and incompetent presidency.
