When Marie Yovanovitch testified before the impeachment hearings today, Trump tweeted while she was answering questions. His idiotic message was intended to intimidate her and anyone else who has facts about Trumps illegal efforts in Ukraine. One of FOX few legitimate journalists, Chris Wallace, said: “If you were not moved by the testimony of Marie Yovanovitch, you don’t have a pulse.”
However, a typical FOX paid liar, who is without credentials, attempted to protect Trump’s additional crime of witness tampering with the following.
Fox News senior Capitol Hill producer Chad Pergram took up the defense of Donald Trump’s impulsiveness, saying that “witness intimidation isn’t specifically listed in the Constitution as an impeachable offense.”
He is wrong. Article two, section four, states: “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”
“High Crimes and Misdemeanors” includes intimidation of or tampering with a witness. There is no requirement to list all ‘high crimes and misdemeanors.’ The difference between Bill Clinton and Trump being impeached is based on a singular fact; Trump is the leader of this Republican Party in name only. FOX once again proves that it is not, and never has been a legitimate news agency. It is a propaganda machine for the right-wing. The Constitution does not specifically state that “receiving oral sex in the Oval Office” is a crime either.
I am assuming that the only requirement to work for FOX concerns a single question on the application: “Are you will to lie or say anything to protect the crimes of Republican politicians?” Answer ‘yes,’ and you’re in.
