The Republican Party is a farce. There is no comparison to this group of RINOs and the ‘party of Lincoln.’ They ignore the needs of the American people and remain loyal to special interests. Most upsetting is the fact that they continue to support the most corrupt and immoral president in history. Not only are the impeachment hearings offering proof that Trump is unfit to lead our country, they are proving that Republicans support his unconstitutional presidency and are pissed off that he got caught.

For years we have watched GOP voters and politicians ignore wrongdoing by their constituents. Newt Gingrich was an adulterer and committed numerous violations of the rule of ethics. He was given a slap on the wrist and forced to resign as the Speaker of the House. Mark Sanford embezzled state funds and had an affair with a woman in Venezuela. He refused to resign as South Carolina’s governor, and was later elected to the House. Currently Jim Jordan continues to attack witnesses at the impeachment hearings when he should have been expelled from the House. He chose to ignore the fact that the team doctor for the Ohio State wrestling team was sexually assaulting team members. Then there’s Trump. Before the 2016 election informed voters were aware that Trump received money from foreign nations to save his businesses; was a self-admitted sexual predator; was guilty of domestic violence; constantly failed in the private sector; and had stolen money from his own charity. When it is discovered that a Democrat commits a misdemeanor Republicans become outraged and demand impeachment or resignation. The word is “hypocrite.”

Criminal actions and sexual deviance are the norm for Republicans and therefore acceptable to their voters. For the last 30+ years the right-wing has become more racist and more fascist. They promise the world during elections and then serve special interests exclusively.

Trump is the leader of this party; Republicans in name only. They admire his crimes, including Constitutional violations and sexual assault of unsuspecting women. However, getting caught is a punishable crime.

And if you think I’m wrong, look at the facts. Republicans continued to support Richard Nixon until the evidence against him became undeniable. Ronald Reagan was given a free pass although the Iran-Contra situation was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. And George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were never punished for lying to the American people; Iraq did not have “weapons of mass destruction,” and they knew the truth. The invasion of Iraq was a crime against humanity.

Republicans cannot be trusted and they do not represent you or me.
