The facts: Sondland offered firsthand evidence that Trump committed bribery and demanded ‘quid pro quo.’ Jim Jordan’s attempt to discredit Sondland’s testimony resulted in laughter; not with him but at his idiotic queries. The pitiful efforts by fake Republicans to save Trump’s presidency have been destroyed by what the right-wing hates most; the truth.
Let’s begin at the beginning. Gordon Sondland received his appointment as Ambassador to the European Union after he donated one-million dollars to Trump’s inauguration. During his initial private testimony, he claimed that Trump did not attempt to hold military aid hostage unless the government of Ukraine reopened the investigation into Joe Biden and son Hunter. Today he changed his story and admitted that Trump engaged in ‘bribery.’
Trump previously praised Sondland. His praise was supportive and called Sondland a great American patriot. However, after Wednesday’s testimony Trump reneged on his knowledge and awareness of the man he once praised effusively.
Sondland testified that “it was abundantly clear that there was a link” between the actions Ukraine desired and an announcement about the two investigations. “Was there a quid pro quo?” Sondland asked rhetorically. “The answer is yes.”
Previously Trump said: “The ambassador — who I heard was tremendous, and a tremendous person — he was 100 percent for what we’re saying,” Trump said of Sondland on Oct. 4. “A hundred percent. And, if you look, he also said there was no quid pro quo. That’s the whole ballgame.”
On Wednesday, as Trump recounted their July conversation, he emphasized the distance between them, saying that Sondland had first backed other presidential candidates. “I don’t know him very well. I have not spoken to him much. This is not a man I know well. Seems like a nice guy, though. But I don’t know him well,” Trump told reporters.
Fact: There are records of phone calls between Sondland and Trump when the orange man ordered Sondland to demand cooperation from Ukraine President Zelensky.
Trump is a traitor and must be treated as one. His frequent conversations with Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Salman must be investigated. His actions do not represent American interests, he is serving foreign interests.
Impeachment is not enough. Trump should be removed from office and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He could be the first president executed for ‘high crimes’ against the United States of America.
Orange is Trump’s favorite color.
