The third branch of America’s government has a single responsibility. It is obligated to be apolitical and decide if a law or lower court decision supports or violates the Constitution. On Monday a stacked right-wing Supreme Court protected Trump. Their decision obstructed justice. Trump bought and paid for his efforts to hide the truth.

The primary reason this is obstruction of justice is founded in the guarantees made by our founding fathers in Article Two. Only Congress has the right to investigate and prosecute the president. This is a guarantee which prevents the establishment of a monarchy or any other form of autocratic government in America.

However, preventing the House from receiving access to the orange man’s financial records is only temporary. We will learn how deeply indebted Republican appointed Justices are to the GOP in the near future.

There is no doubt that Trump’s tax returns will reveal that the majority of his income derives from foreign business interests. Trump has failed far too many times in our nation; no one wants to engage in business with the failure in the White House. Trump’s business interests have been involved in more lawsuits and investigations than any other in history. Trump’s history of multiple bankruptcies including Trump University and casinos in Atlantic City created a reluctance by American investors to participate in any Trump enterprise.

In my 73 years; 63 as someone who became interested in politics; I have watched the ignorance in the decisions of our founding fathers and their creation of three branches of government with ‘equal but separate powers.’ Beginning in 1981 a Republican president named Ronald Reagan began to accumulate greater powers than designed by the Constitutional Convention in 1787. However, this was not a violent takeover. Republican leaders who controlled the House and Senate surrendered their greater powers to the executive branch. Most importantly, the Supreme Court became a political entity; a situation opposed by our nation’s creators.

Today Moscow Mitch kissed Trump’s huge derriere and joyfully bowed to the fascist who is occasionally in the Oval Office. Trump controls all three branches of our government. Only the Democratic House can save our nation from destruction.

My fellow Americans, do not ignore the most important fact in your lifetime. The 2020 election will decide our nation’s future. If you decide to vote for any Republican, you are choosing to end democracy in America. The right-wing has no interest in the American people. They serve the wealthy we refer to as ‘special interests.’ Included in this term is the Christian religious right. This lobby is in direct violation of the first amendment. It has become a situation of real Americans vs the fascist ambitions from the right-wing. Trump is worshipped by these Republicans in name only because they agree with his plans to destroy America from within. “Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” We cannot allow this to happen. This is our country, not theirs.
