I doubt that most Americans have been watching the impeachment hearings. I admit that I have not watched every minute either, but I have read the summation of the day’s testimony. I am not a legal scholar, but the efforts by Trump’s hypocritical party to pretend that Trump’s actions are not criminal are ridiculous. He has committed multiple crimes and placed our nation in danger of additional foreign intervention. The evidence against Trump is far more damaging than that offered against Richard Nixon or Bill Clinton.

Trump is not above the law; he is not a king; and he is not a dictator. Trump is a public servant who took an oath to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States” and violated that oath on multiple occasions. Each of the charges against him would stand alone and demand his impeachment. Together every member of the House and Senate who loves his or her country must agree to remove the worst illegitimate president in history.

To watch Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes attempt to defend their criminal-in-chief is disgusting. They are not real Americans and are unworthy of holding office in our government. They took the same oath as Trump and are failing to deep their promises to the American people.

If Trump is not impeached, the end of all law in America has become a dark reality. The Constitution will become empty words on parchment. Patriots such as I will no longer have a valid reason to pledge allegiance to the flag or proudly sing the national anthem. The nation of our founding fathers will cease to exist.
