Each branch of the military costs taxpayers many billions of dollars each year. This year’s budget is nearly $800 billion. Our government is wasting even more money this year; they have agreed to create another branch of the military which will push the Pentagon’s budget well over one-trillion dollars. This is the stupidest fucking thing I have ever heard of, and I’ve witnessed many stupid actions by our government in my 73 years. We have a United States Air Force which is already responsible for high altitude aircraft, satellites, etc.

Our country faces many serious and costly problems which involve the future of all 330 million Americans. There is absolutely no need for a fifth branch of the military. When will the government of the United States place people in priority number one?

The right-wing has no interest in creating or funding existing programs which will aid the poor and low income Americans, one half of all Americans, but they are always willing to throw money away in military spending. The Pentagon wastes 50 cents out of every dollar each year preparing for war. We have lost every war since the Korean conflict. Our government and our military are incompetent.

“This defense budget is $120 billion more than what President Obama left us with. That could fund free public college for every American. It could fund access to high-speed affordable internet for every American,” lamented California Rep. Ro Khanna, a vocal opponent of the bill.

The truth is that our government is not only dysfunctional, it is fucked up.

My wife wants to move to Canada; for the first time in my life, I’m thinking about it.
