If the world has learned one thing from Trump’s illegitimate presidency, it is that he has a very low intellect. Although he claimed to know “everything about everything,” he has proven that he knows nothing about anything.

So when he told his cult that he “never understood wind” at one of his hate rallies, no one was surprised.

I am 73, and when I was in my 20’s my wife and I drove to Palm Springs from Los Angeles for the weekend. On the way I saw my first windmill farms. I learned that they supplied electricity for several of the communities around Palm Springs. The high desert winds were perfect.

Since then wind power has proven to be a very efficient and inexpensive solution to ending the dominance of the petroleum industry. It has also created many good-paying jobs, something big oil has not done for more than 25 years.

Trump is correct; he doesn’t understand wind and doesn’t want to. He owes big oil for millions of dollars in campaign contributions to himself and other Republicans in name only.

The truth is that Trump is older than his years. He lives in America’s dark past and that’s where he belongs. His America is a white America where minorities, women, non-Christians, and all homosexuals are treated as second and even third-class citizens.

This is not my America, and I hope it’s not yours.
