On this Christmas Day America is in the worst situation I have ever witnessed in my lifetime. A malignant narcissist, an egomaniac, is in control of our country, and his political party continues to support his fascist and autocratic beliefs and ambitions. Seeing the way Trump’s presidency has changed and divided my country is very upsetting and makes me fear for my America.

Today Christmas Day, 2019, is not a day to look at the disgusting and illegitimate presidency of DJT. Today is a day to feel hope and express optimism for the future of the United States of America.

I do feel hope and optimism. The American people may be the least informed citizens in the free world, but their hearts are always in the right place when evil raises its ugly head. We may be slow to learn, as revealed by our country’s 243-year history, but we are at our best when we face a common enemy together.

There are obstacles to taking our country back. The cowardice of Moscow Mitch McConnell, and Kremlin Kevin McCarthy have taken control of one entire political party. Their lies and hypocrisy are responsible for the fact that Republicans have become the enemy of the American people.

Another obstacle is the television media. These fake journalists have refused to tell the whole truth about Trump and the Trump Party. They have protected them by refusing to serve the American people since June of 2015

My hope is based on one fact; we have the power to control our nation’s future. Each of us possesses the most powerful weapon in the world; each of us has a vote in our elections.

The truth is that Republicans fear one thing more than anything else. Historically, a large voter turnout means defeat for GOP politicians. The best example is a single fact. As long as the Electoral College continues to decide the results of our elections, the people can be prevented from choosing their president.

Without the Electoral College, a Democrat would be living in the White House today, and would have been since 1993. With the exception of Bush 43’s second term, Democrats have won the popular vote since Bill Clinton’s first election in 1992.

Equally important is how Trump was gifted the Electoral College. Three states gave him the 270 votes needed; Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The total number of votes in the three combined states was less than 80,000. If the voter turnout in all three states would have been as expected, Hillary Clinton would be president today.

A historical voter turnout on November 3, 2020 will guarantee that Trump and his party will be removed from power. You can be part of the victory next year. You can save your country for your children and grandchildren. Think of voting day as the final battle in the second American Revolution. The nation of our founding fathers; the Constitution; and your rights and freedom can be saved. It’s up to you; accept Trump’s vision of America, or that of the men who created what could be the greatest nation in the world. It’s your choice, and your responsibility.
