Chuck Todd Tells the Truth, and it’s about Time the Fourth Estate Stood up for the People

Many things have been said about Donald Trump; none of them positive. His entire life is a tale of failure, lies, and depravity. I will never accept him as my president because he is not. He is unfit to claim the title, and has chosen not to serve anyone who refuses to support him.

The media, especially the fake journalists on television, have failed to perform their jobs. Their only function is to report corruption in government and instead choose to give Trump and his administration a free pass. The orange child in the White House continues to be judged by the lowest standard possible.

Chuck Todd, who rarely forces his guests to answer the tough questions on NBC’s Meet the Press, finally called Trump and the Trump Party out for their constant misinformation. In an interview for Rolling Stone, he specifically mentioned Trump’s paid liar, Sean Spicer, when he made the obviously fallacious claim that Trump’s inauguration was ‘the largest in history.’

“I fully admit, listening to you ask that question now, and me giving you the honest answer of, yeah, I guess I really believed they wouldn’t do this,” Todd answered. “Just so absurdly naive in hindsight. Donald Trump’s entire life has been spent using misinformation. His entire life. I’ve spent years studying him now on trying to figure out how did this guy even learn politics?”

The host proceeded to compare his perception of Trump’s willingness to deceive to former Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

“The more you learn, you realize he learned at the feet of a master of deception in Roy Cohn, who learned at the feet of the original master of deception of sort of the modern political era in Joe McCarthy,” he continued. “So I mean, look, if people want to read my answer to your question, ‘Boy, that Chuck Todd was hopelessly naive.’ Yeah, it looks pretty naive.”

The Washington Post kept track of Trump’s lies for the first year plus of his illegitimate presidency. Today we can only ‘guesstimate’ the actual number. The consensus is that in three years Trump has told nearly 20,000 lies. He has only been in office for about 1,068 days. That’s an amazing accomplishment; something never done by any other right-wing politician, and they tell many lies every day.

Every time he brags about himself, it’s a lie. Every promise he makes is a lie. Every time he says “many people,” followed by a misstatement, he is lying.

If the mainstream media had told the complete truth beginning in June of 2015, America’s biggest mistake would not be defiling the White House today.

We can correct this error by uninformed voters who chose to be ignorant in 2016. We can vote on November 3, 2020.
