It has become clear in the last couple of days that the attack on America’s embassy in Baghdad, and an attack on a compound occupied by a private military agency, could have been addressed with diplomacy and other methods suggested by the Pentagon. However, just as he did with his ill-advised tariffs, Trump alone decided to murder one of Iran’s leaders; Major General Qassem Suleimani.

The result may be the beginning of another unwinnable war in the Middle East. The Iranian people have taken to the streets, demanding retaliation. Iranian leaders promise a “vigorous revenge on America.”

Enter Mike Pence into the lies offered by your illegitimate president. In a sad and pitiful attempt to justify the killing of Suleimani, Pence tried to link the general to the attacks on 9/11. There are a few problems with this blatant and obvious lie.

After suggesting that Suleimani assisted in the attacks on 9/11, he attempted to justify his statement with another lie. Pence claimed that the general had assisted 10 of the 12 terrorists with travel arrangements to Afghanistan.

Historians debunk this claim by America’s biggest homophobe.

First, there were 19 men involved with the atrocities, not 12. Later, Pence claimed that 12 of the 19 transited through Afghanistan, and 10 of the 12 were aided by Suleimani. Nice try Mikey.

Misagh Parsa, a sociology professor at Dartmouth College, said that either way, there was scant evidence to back up the claim.

“Where is the evidence and who were these 10 people?” she asked.

Let’s offer the truth right now. Whenever any member of Trump’s circle of sinners is caught in a lie or the commission of a crime, their first attempt is to misdirect their own failures by creating an alternate story with a lie. Not a single truth has come from the most corrupt administration in history in three years.

One item of undeniable truth is that 15 of the 19 terrorists who attacked America on 9/11 were Saudi Nationals; friends of Donald Trump. Saudis are Sunni Muslims. They have a history of hatred for the Shiite Muslims of Iran. There would never have been cooperation between the two nations.

Although the 9/11 Commission did find that before the attacks there was some assistance by Iran to aid travel in and out of Afghanistan, it also proved that Iran or Hezbollah had no knowledge and therefore no part in the attacks on 9/11. Suleimani’s name was never mentioned in the report.

Osamah F. Khalil is an associate professor of history at Syracuse University, and claims that none of Pence’s claims make any sense.

“It makes little sense from both a religious and political perspective,” Khalil said.

Pence has been a liar and a Trump defender since 2016. He has proven himself to be as big a failure as his illegitimate president.

When Trump is exiled from Washington, hopefully sooner rather than later, Pence must be removed as well. No one associated with Donald Trump or the Trump Klan can be trusted. The truth is that every member of the Republican Party is an enemy of the American people.
