Here’s Moscow Mitch’s fallacious statement to NPR on Tuesday.

“I’m not an impartial juror. This is a political process. There’s not anything judicial about it,” McConnell told reporters on Tuesday. “The House made a partisan political decision to impeach. I would anticipate we will have a largely partisan outcome in the Senate. I’m not impartial about this at all.”

Really! Moscow Mitch surrendered the powers and responsibilities of the senate to Trump three years ago. Moscow Mitch is not taking this seriously and is making a mockery of the entire process

The Constitutional requirements for an impeachment trial in the senate.

“The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.” ARTICLE I, SECTION 3, CLAUSE 6

Here is the definition of the purpose of a trial.

Trial: “In law, a trial is a coming together of parties to a dispute, to present information in a tribunal, a formal setting with the authority to adjudicate claims or disputes. One form of tribunal is a court.”

When Moscow Mitch’s Republicans have already decided that Trump is not guilty, there is no trial, and the Constitution has been violated. Without the presentation of evidence, there cannot be a fair trial for either side. Without witnesses, a trial becomes a farce. This is what Republicans are attempting to accomplish.

Every Republican in Washington is in violation of his or her oath of office. The evidence against Trump is enormous and cannot be denied by anyone who has read the transcripts. Refusing to allow witnesses to present additional facts before the court; in this case the Senate; is a travesty, and a clear violation of Article 1 Section 3 Clause 6.

No president in American history deserved to be impeached more than Donald John Trump. Only a single Constitutional violation was required to impeach your Criminal-in-Chief, although there could have been many more, including obstruction of justice, and lying to congress. His continued collusion with Vladimir Putin, Mohammad bin Salman, and Kim Jong-un should be investigated as possible acts of treason.

Now for some brutal honesty, and once again I must apologize to my Republican friends and relatives. If the situation were reversed and President Obama had been impeached, his trial would have involved dozens of witnesses and a real president would have been removed from office in haste. Republicans hated President Obama because he was Intelligent, extremely patriotic, served all Americans, and was not charged or even suspected of a single ethics violation in eight years.

The word is hypocrisy, and this term has become synonymous with the label of ‘Republican.’ Trump is guilty as hell and any honest man or woman knows this to be fact.

51 percent of all Americans supported Trump’s impeachment, and support for removing him from office is split evenly at approximately 47.5-47.5 percent. If a fair trial was held in Moscow Mitch’s senate, the latter percentage would like change dramatically.

Trump is not an American; Trump has failed to serve all Americans for three years. He does not deserve the support of any man or woman whether they identify themselves as democrats or republicans. If he was a true patriot, he would have resigned after he was impeached. The charges against him were very serious and worthy of the result.

Richard Nixon may have been a “crook,” but at least he loved his country.
