I personally believe that Trump’s impeachment was focused on the wrong crime. Robert Mueller’s report noted ten times when Trump could have been charged with attempting to obstruct justice, which is a “high crime” and worthy of impeachment. After the hearings began, he not only attempted but succeeded in obstructing justice another dozen times by refusing to allow witnesses critical to the event to testify. While his trial is beginning in the senate, Trump is in Switzerland, and today apparently admitted that he is withholding evidence; another obstruction of justice.
“Honestly, we have all the material. They don’t have the material,” the president told reporters in Davos, Switzerland, where he is attending the World Economic Forum, regarding the documents the White House has refused to turn over. “When we released that conversation, all hell broke out with the Democrats because they say, wait a minute, this is much different than shifty Schiff told us, so we’re doing very well. I got to watch enough, I thought our team did a very good job,” Trump said, referencing House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA), who has spearheaded the House impeachment inquiry against the president.
Once again it appears that Trump is his own worst enemy. Such a low level of intelligence proves that he is unfit to lead our nation. Trump has been the best witness for the prosecution throughout the impeachment process.
I am beginning to believe that Trump and the entire Trump Party, and excuse me here, are the dumbest motherf**kers in the entire world. Not a single American with average intelligence would believe these old, white, racist, and ambitious men and the few women they allow in their party.
Hiding the truth is the Trump team’s only defense. Democrats proposed subpoenas for eleven witnesses who have first-hand knowledge of Trump’s crimes. The Republican dominated senate refused to allow one witness. This is not a trial; this is a fascist sham. Today I am ashamed to be an American.
Every member of the Trump Party has become the enemy of the American people. They have made a farce of the Constitution allowing their fuhrer to be immune from the law. Republicans have destroyed democracy and are laughing at the rule of law. They are not worthy to hold office in America’s government.
November 3rd will be here before you know it. Remember how Republicans spit on the Constitution during this façade.
