When Trump’s impeachment trial began in the Republican-controlled Senate, the outcome had already been decided. Moscow Mitch made an announcement long before the first day that he ‘was not impartial’ and would do everything in his power to save Trump’s humongous derriere.

This in itself was a blatant violation of the Constitution. If you read Article One it clearly demands a fair and unbiased trial. However, Moscow Mitch and his minions did not take this solemn event seriously. It became a farce almost immediately. Republicans refused to allow witnesses with firsthand information about the charges to testify before the entire senate.

I have written several articles about this sham, and I have support from 75 percent of the American people. One of Trump’s former Chiefs of Staff, John Kelly, agreed with the American people.

“If I was advising the United States Senate, I would say, ‘If you don’t respond to 75 percent of the American voters and have witnesses, it’s a job only half done,” he said. “You open yourself up forever as a Senate that shirks its responsibilities.”

It was Moscow Mitch who created the ‘Party of no.’ It was Mitch McConnell who stood before the cameras in January of 2009 and promised that his party would do nothing as long as ‘that black man was in the White House.’ It was Moscow Mitch who refused to hold hearings for Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland. It was Moscow Mitch who rushed through every nominee by his fuhrer although they were woefully unqualified for their positions. It was Moscow Mitch who refused to allow a vote which would have helped protect our future elections from foreign interference. It is very interesting that the basis for Trump’s impeachment was his demand that Ukraine assist him in his bid for reelection.

Yesterday, as the Republican senators ignored the law and served their master, America became a memory. Our government preserved its position as the worst in the developed world. Corruption, greed, and lies are the norm in Trump’s America and his party has followed him willingly into the cesspool which is today’s Washington.

Democracy is dead and fascism is in control of our nation’s 330 million people.
