The White House is reacting the way I expected it to after Moscow Mitch held his sham trial in the Republican controlled senate. They are reporting that Trump is seeking revenge against those who were willing to tell the truth about the worst and most corrupt illegitimate president in history. The names mentioned include Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, Mitt Romney, and John Bolton. “Trump’s playbook is simple: go after people who crossed him during impeachment,” said a White House spokesperson.
What is most important is that although Republicans ignored the facts and failed to do the right thing, Trump will always be known as the third president impeached in the House. This will be his legacy.
When historians write about Trump’s illegitimate presidency, the truth about his public and private life will contain a plethora of criminal actions and Constitutional violations. He will be on the top of a report listing the worst presidents in history; just above George W. Bush.
The two failures I just mentioned; Trump and Bush 43; are the two primary reasons why I do not celebrate “Presidents Day.” They and others do not deserve a holiday or the respect of the American people.
When I was young, I loved three days in February; February 12th, Abraham Lincoln’s birthday; February 14, Valentines Day; and February 22nd, George Washington’s birthday. Today I only celebrate Valentine’s Day. I use this day to remind my bride how much I love and appreciate her.
I am sorry that Lincoln and Washington have been shunned in favor of celebrating such failures as Zachary Taylor, Woodrow Wilson, Howard Taft, Warren Harding, Bush 43, Trump, and others who are undeserving of being honored.
I believe that the birthdays of our greatest presidents should be national holidays. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Harry Truman, and Barrack Obama should all be honored for what they accomplished for their country. Their patriotism was never questioned, and their sacrifices for the American people will forever be appreciated by every citizen in the United States.
Trump’s administration is unquestionably the most corrupt in history. But we must not ignore the sins of the entire Trump Party.
Moscow Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, Jim Jordan, Devin Nunes, and the others have lied to the American people for decades and they must pay for their treason to the American people.
Moscow Mitch, Graham, Jordan, and Nunes are among others seeking reelection in November. Let’s send them into permanent retirement. Then, when the new Congress is sworn in on January 3, 2021, let us all demand that congress sets term limits for themselves. The same reasons why a maximum 10-year term was established for the president applies to every Representative and Senator. The old, white men in Washington today serve themselves and each other; their time should be coming to an end.
If the Electoral College is repealed, the people will decide our president, not the states. This is what our founding fathers intended in 1789. Every vote should count.
It’s up to you. Your vote on November 3rd will count and you can save your country. Always remember; this is your country; it does not belong to the politicians. They are required to work for you and today they serve only themselves. Let’s change the atmosphere in Washington. We, the people, deserve representation in Washington.
