Let’s get into It; Trump’s Rudeness to Nancy Pelosi, and Pelosi’s Disdain for the Orange Man’s Lies

First, I must admit that I was unable to watch the entire State of the Union Speech on Tuesday evening. Lie after lie was upsetting at first, and then became a huge bore.

The beginning was sad. Trump once again acted like a schoolyard bully. His pettiness in a failed attempt to ignore the power and importance of Nancy Pelosi resulted in another embarrassment for the orange man-child. Refusing to shake the Speaker’s hand was an immature act by a child of limited intelligence.

The “lowlight” of the evening was a slap in the face to all real Americans and the Constitution. Presenting right-wing extremist Rush Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom was an insult to every other person who rightfully received the honor. For 31 years, Limbaugh attacked every independent and Democrat in America in an obvious effort to divide our nation. I was livid to see a pathological liar who opposes everything I believe in; a traitor to the American people; be honored at a national event.

The ‘reality show’ lasted for a whopping 78 minutes. There was not a single fact during the braggart’s fallacious claims of accomplishments about a “great economy.” The wealthy are thriving; the working class, not so much. All new jobs during Trump’s long three years in office are minimum wage or slightly higher.

The only person who obviously found this debacle more offensive than I did was Speaker Nancy Pelosi. When Trump finally finished his nonsense, she tore up her copy of the speech. Nancy said it best when she told one right-wing biased reporter, “don’t mess with me.” Of course Trump was furious; he was bested by a woman once again.
